School Admissions & Fees

School Admissions

Anyone who wishes to apply can download an application form or obtain one from the school office. The completed form can be sent by email or returned to the office with a copy of the childs previous school report if available.

Open Day

The school will send out letters with the relevant information regarding the open day once the application has been received.

Making an Application

Complete an application form that can be obtained from the school office.

The school office will send you a letter to confirm the details of the entrance exam. The school cannot be responsible for lost forms. If you have not heard from us within two weeks of your application, please contact the office on 0114 2447700.

Entrance exam

The date of the Entrance exam will be sent to you in a form of letter. Your child will sit an English, Maths and reading exam. As the school is unable to cater for SEN (Special Educational Needs) your child will have to be up to a certain level to secure a place at Oak Tree High School.

Fees Information

The school fees for the academic year 2018-2019 are £1600.

Please note that this year it has been necessary to increase the school fees by a minimum of £50.00 in order to meet our financial obligations.

For parents who have more than 1 child in school the fee will be £1550 for each child.

The school would require all parents to make payment of fees on time.

Parents have a number of options for payment of the fees:

Preferably we would like all the fees to be paid in full (£1600), by the end of the first week of Term 1.

However, to make it easy for the parents who may find it difficult to pay the full amount, we will allow payments to be made in 3 instalments of £534 by the end of week one of Term 1, £534 by the end of first week of Term 2 and £533 by the end of first week of Term 3.

Methods of Payment

  • Direct Debit

Download the Direct debit form or pick one up from the school office. Complete and forward to your bank and provide the school office with a copy

  • Bank Transfers

Please ask the admin office for the bank details and allow at least 3 working days for your money to reach the school bank account.

Please provide a reference (pupil name and year group)

  • Cheques

Please make your cheques payable to Oak Tree High School and write the Name and year on the back of the cheque.

  • Cash

Whilst we do not encourage cash payments we are aware that some parents may pay by cash. You will be issued with a receipt from the admin office once a payment has been made. Please keep your receipt as proof of payment.

GCSE Exams

The school will issue the parents with an invoice with all the payment details that will need to be paid before the exams starts. The exam fee depends on the subjects your daughter is entered in for.  If you require further information, please do not hesitate to contact the Exam Officer on 0114 2447700.

Text Books

The school policy is for the children to purchase text books at the beginning of each year. The books will be the responsibility of each pupil and if the books are returned in good condition then the cost of the text books will be refunded to your child.

A list of all books required will be provided by the school and can be purchased from the school.

Lockers

Each pupil will be allocated a locker and we ask that your child purchases a key from the office. This amount will be refunded to your child at the end of each year.
